Directory.site is a search engine for business listings covering all verticals. Our extensive database contains millions of listings encompassing almost every zip code across the United States.
On our homepage you will find 2 search boxes. In the box titled FIND input the type of business, product or service you wish to search for and in the box titled NEAR input the city under which you wish to search. Once done click on search and our site will provide you with the most relevant results based on your search criteria.
We will return all relevant results for your query under the area selected and display up to 10 listings per page. The results are sorted as per the relevancy to the search term and location with the most relevant results being displayed first.
We currently provide listings across the United States only. Watch this space for more developments.
Our mission is to provide our users with as much relevant information for each business. We hence provide you with the business name, address, phone, map location, reviews, ratings and related businesses for each listing. In some cases, we might also be able to provide additional information like photos, menu, special offers and social links.
Although we do display all the listings related to your specific search, we only showcase the top 10 listings in the first page. You can alternatively sort all the results according to their exact distance from your location. You also have an option to choose to see results from specific zip codes.
If you have searched for restaurants near your location, we will display the top 10 relevant examples. On top of the results there is a drop down icon that will show you all the results for your query sorted into different categories of restaurants and the different zip codes they fall under. You can also see the distance of those zip codes from your location and choose the ones you would like to select.
The stars are ratings provided by our users for the respective business listings.
The horizontal green lines indicate how close the listing is to your given location. Five lines mean that the property is within 2 miles of your location. Four lines mean a distance of 2 to 5 miles; three lines mean a distance of 5 to 10 miles, two lines mean the distance is 10 to 15 miles and a single line means that the distance is more than 15 miles. The keywords that you see under those lines are the keywords that our technology has indexed that particular listing under. This is how we indentify the relevant search results for your query.
